I know people are upset, & rightfully so, when it comes to gun control/2nd amendment issues, it's only natural. However, I'm still surprised at posts like Dave's(& I respect his opinion much more often than not) when he simply ignores the guy being quoted using words like "potentially" & "possibly" & writes as if the pro-gun guy was talking in absolutes. What makes this issue so tough to dissect is that there seems to be very little talk of solution & a rush to condemnation of any opposing pov.

True of most contentious issues.

Same as abortion, death penalty, war.

Reasoned dialogue and respectful discourse are dying a slow death, imho.
